With partnership in place students will able to secure two degrees - one from IIMA and the other from HEC under a student exchange programme.

Explaining the significance of the partnership, Barua said that B-schools now needed to offer to students and teachers exposure beyond national boundaries, in the present era of globalisation.

The partnership will facilitate greater interaction between the two premier institution under the exchange programme.

Baura said, under the student exchange programme, IIMA students would be able to spend one year at HEC Paris (instead of just one term). Similarly HEC students would also be able to spend a year at IIMA under the agreement.

In the past six months, two IIMA professors have visited HEC, Paris, one of whom is currently teaching there, the IIMA director said.
