Researchers find links between mobiles and salivary gland cancer

Mobile phones, indispensable in today's world, can lead to cancer, according to research conducted by Tel Aviv University, Israel. This study shows strong links between salivary gland cancer and mobile phone overuse.
The study explains that chances of developing salivary gland tumours are more among those who use phones against one side of their head for several hours a day. The fact that cell phones in rural areas emit more signals to locate two antennas, places the people residing there under higher risk.
The findings of the study contradict early research conclusions, which claimed there are no links between the two.
