Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), which runs India’s largest retail network that brings together Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL), Reliance Retail Ltd (RRL) and Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (RCPL), is reported to be planning to launch a new consumer products arm that would house all its brands.

The new company, to be named the New Reliance Consumer Products Ltd (New RCPL), will house all of RIL’s fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) that also includes products that are sold through RRVL and RRL, according to reports.

New RCPL will be a direct subsidiary of RIL and the restructuring is aimed at strengthening its consumer products business through better focus on products, manufacturing processes as well as sourcing, reports citing sources said.

Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd, meanwhile, announced the acquisition of a strategic minority stake in UK-based FaceGym, an innovative facial fitness and skincare venture, as it looks to expand into the beauty and wellness segment.

FaceGym, with its non-invasive facial and skincare treatments - a combination of beauty, wellness and fitness practices - is present in several markets across the world and has a large customer base.

RIL plans to introduce FaceGym to Indian consumers through Reliance Retail’s Tira heading its local operations and market development. RIL expects the establishnent and market development of FaceGym to take at leat five years. 

The partnership will reinforce Tiara’s own operations and expand its business portfolio. Tira’s existing brands include Akind, Dream, Immerse Play and Nails Our Way.

RIL, through RRVL and its subsidiaries and affiliates, operates a network of 19,340 stores and digital commerce platforms across grocery, consumer electronics, fashion and lifestyle and pharma products distribution.

RRVL reported a consolidated turnover of Rs3,30,870 crore and gross profit of Rs25,053 crore for the financial year ended 31 March 2025.
