Oliver Wyman acquires automotive industry consultancy

Global consulting firm Oliver Wyman has acquired the Troy- (Michigan) based global auto industry consultancy and publisher of the Harbour Report Harbour Consulting,along with its staff.
Harbour Consulting was founded in 1997 by Ron Harbour and the annual Harbour Report is widely regarded as the industry-standard by automakers on their performance in the US and Europe since it was first published in 1990.
August Joas, head of Oliver Wyman's global automotive practice, said that the acquisition would enable Oliver Wyman to deepen its knowledge of operational and manufacturing benchmarks and best practices in the automotive industry, for its clients to acquire a leadership position.
