Conde Nast Traveller ranks two Oberoi properties as the world''s best

Mumbai: Two Oberoi hotels have been rated among the best hospitality providers service in the world. They are the Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur and The Oberoi Rajvilas, Jaipur.

The two Oberoi properties, part of the East India Hotels Group, have been conferred a perfect score of 100 for service by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler, US, one of the foremost travel magazines in the world.

Every year, Condé Nast Traveler''s releases a Gold List of global hotel properties, ranked by readers in the ''annual readers'' choice awards''. The publication is considered the gazetteer of the world''s finest hotels, resorts and cruise lines. Its ratings are based on criteria ranging from location, service and rooms to activities and food.

This recognition for Udaivilas and Jaivilas, follows their having been rated among the 10 best hotels in the world by in a readers'' poll conducted by Travel + Leisure, US, another leading travel magazine. Travel + Leisure has a monthly audited circulation of almost a million.

The Oberoi Udaivilas has also been accorded a score of 100 for rooms and design.

The Oberoi Group operates in India, Egypt, Mauritius, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia with 34 properties including the luxury Oberoi Hotels & Resorts and the superior first class Trident Hilton Hotels. The Group is also engaged in flight catering, airport restaurants, travel and tour service, car rentals, project management and corporate air charters.

Both rates at both properties start from around Rs26,750 plus taxes per night for single-occupancy rooms to around Rs147,000 plus taxes per night for suites (rates as on 23 December 2006).
