Gujarat NRE Coke posts FY net profit of Rs51.87 crore

Coking coal major, Gujarat NRE Coke Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs51.87 crore for the financial year ended 31March, 2010.
In filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) the company said that the net profit after tax stood at Rs51.87 crore for the year ended 31March, 2010 as against to Rs107.24 crore for the fiscal 2009.
Total income fell from Rs1536.52 crore for the year ended 31March, 2009 to Rs1476.47 crore for the year ended 31March, 2010.
Total income was up at Rs433.86 crore from Rs216.37 crore in the same quarter last year.
Gujarat NRE's net profit after tax for the fourth quarter ended 31 March, 2010 stood at Rs1.34 crore as against a net loss of Rs103.18 crore for the quarter ended 31March, 2009, according to the company's statement.
For the year ended 31March, 2010, the Group posted a net profit of Rs20.4 crore as against Rs87.30 crore for the year ended 31March 2009.
Total income was up at Rs1,650.77 crore for the year ended 31 March 2010 as against Rs1,573.50 crore for the year ended 31 March 2009, according to the company's statement on Monday.
