Mumbai: The Bombay Stock Exchange today said its non-executive chairman Shekhar Datta and a director Jamshyd Godrej, a shareholder director, have resigned from the exchange's board, a BSE press release said.

The BSE, however, did not give reasons for the resignations.

Datta was inducted to the board in 2006 and became the chairman when Jagdish Capoor quit the post last September.  He is a former managing director and president of Greaves Cotton. He is currently a director on the board of Bharat Heavy Electricals.

Jamshyd Godrej is currently the chairman and managing director of Godrej & Boyce.
