The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Thursday opened its electronic reporting system to corporates. Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) chairman M Damodaran inaugurated the e-filing system - Indian Corporate Electronic Reporting System (ICERS) - at a function held in BSE's International Convention Hall.

ICERS, an internet-based corporate-friendly application, enables dissemination of information seamlessly from the point of origin to the point of display on BSE website in the shortest possible time.

Currently, companies will be able to file all corporate announcements and financial results online. The application will be enhanced to cover all other compliance-related filings by companies listed on the BSE, a press release said.
