Chinese company LeTv to enter Indian market next week

Chinese technology company LeTv is set to enter the Indian market next week offering a range of products to cater to the demands of the burgeoning smartphone market in the country.

According to media invites, it would host an event on 5 January to launch its products in the country.

Media reports suggest that the company might introduce two smartphones, though, there had been no confirmation from the company.

The company had organised meetings in the national capital and Bengaluru, for fans, tech enthusiasts, bloggers and influencers to introduce the company and products.

It  showcased the Le Max, all-metal smartphone handset at the meet, featuring a 6.3-inch display, 2GHz octacore processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB memory, 21MP rear camera and 3400 mAh battery.

The 2004-founded Letv also offers live streaming, cloud, e-commerce, and smart TVs among other products and services.

It is also partnering with with luxury carmaker Aston Martin for development of connected electric vehicles.

According to Letv associate director Digital Marketing Ivan Wang, India was a key top priority marked for the company.

According to reports, the phones would be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon and Mediatek Helios X10 processors that support blazing speed, stunning graphics, ultra-fast connectivity and enhanced battery life to allow users to do what they love to do.

The Mediatek inside the Le Superphones enhances the performance of the phones by 10 per cent, which allows users to enjoy a superior 3D gaming experience.

The phones are available with either WQHD or FHD displays for optimal viewing experiences with razor sharp images and vibrant colours. The devices also come with super-fast finger print sensors for convenient and quick one touch access – LeTouch.

According to commentators, Letv would likely significantly impact the Indian market with its disruptive prices and top-of-the range hardware features.
