Smartlink introduces tablet range

Computer networking products maker Smartlink has entered the Indian tablet market with the launch of three new tablets. The models, under the brand Digitab come in 7-inch and 10-inches, and a 7-inch dual SIM, designed to enable mobile customers multitask.
''The market for tablets in India is growing steadily and the popularity of tablets as a mobility device is catching on. We intend to leverage on our product quality, service support and channel strength to capitalise on the potential that this market offers and we are confident to ship more than three lakh in next financial year,'' said Bimal Raj, CEO, Smartlink Network Systems.
Built on the Android operating system, the full-featured tablets are powered by a dual-core processor, enabling users to multitasking from e-mail and web surfing to gaming and streaming.
These devices deliver quality, reliability and performance to help users take care of business and entertainment. All devices come equipped with front and rear camera for photos and video chats.
The 7-inch dual SIM DIGITAB is the lightest and most compact big-screen tablet, cramming a gorgeous 7-inch display, 1.6 GHz dual core MTK8377 with 1GB memory and with dual SIM options
All the tablets are BIS certified and are backed by post sales service. Ingram Micro and Redington will distribute the products.
The company is looking at expanding its tablet portfolio in the coming months with the introduction of newer models based on 8-inch Intel Platform and Dual Boot among others.
