The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has questioned former telecom minister A Raja in connection with its money laundering probe in the 2G spectrum case,  which is the first time he has been questioned by the agency, in the case.

During questioning, ED investigators grilled Raja on several issues related to spectrum allocation during the time he was telecom minister as also his personal finances, the PTI reported quoting unnamed sources.
Raja also came in for questioning regarding his associates and their role in the grant of telecom licences.

The ED also took in its possession financial documents that he was asked to bring along with him, under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

According to sources, the former Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam minister could again be called for questioning in connection with the policy decisions taken to grant spectrum to some  firms.

Raja was first granted bail in May 2012 following his arrest by the CBI last year in the same case.
