In a bid to uncover the trail of alleged kickbacks in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation scam, a team of investigators has left for the UK, tax havens British Virgin Islands and Isle of Man.

While Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials have left for the foreign destinations, CBI is expected to join the efforts as some travel documents are being finalised, according to sources involved the probe.

They add that a CBI team would assist ED in connection with the investigation into the laundering of the alleged bribe money which is being probed by the Directorate in the case.

During its upcoming visit to the three places, ED would look for various entities that routed funds through the country's financial channels in violation of forex and anti-money laundering.
