Mobile number portability introduction delayed to end-October

The introduction of mobile number portability has been put off by four months, to end-October, the government has said.
With mobile number portability (MNP) users can switch operators even as they retain their mobile phone number.
MNP was set for introduction in all telecoms zones by 31March of this year. At the end of March, the government said the launch of the facility would be would be delayed to end-May for security reasons and then extended the deadline to end-June.
