Hindustan Dorr-Oliver wins DAE order for Kalpakkam N-project

Hindustan Dorr-Oliver Ltd has bagged a Rs63 crore order for construction of a centralised conversion facility of uranyl nitrate to uranium oxide from the Department Atomic Energy for the Kalpakkam nuclear power project.

Under the contract, awarded by the Heavy Water Board of the DAE, Hindustan Dorr Oliver will  execute the order for the Kalpakkam project on a LSTK basis.  

The project has to be completed in a period of 16 months. The company is also required to provide commissioning assistance for six months. 

The company also won a Rs35.5-crore order for a complete effluent treatment plant for the aromatic complex of ONGC's Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd.

Under the contract, Hindustan Dorr-Oliver will construct a 200 cum / hour capacity effluent treatment plant in the Mangalore SEZ area. The project is to be executed in 20 months.

The company will be responsible for project management, residual basic design, detailed engineering, procurement, supply, fabrication, inspection, transportation, storage, construction, installation, testing, mechanical completion, commissioning and performance guarantee test run of the project.
