Areva T&D wins Rs1.3 billion Warora Thermal Power Plant contract

Areva T&D India has bagged the eBOP (electrical balance of plant) contract for Warora Thermal Power Plant project under implementation by GMR Group in Maharashtra.

This major contract, valued at around Rs1.30 billion, involves the supply and installation of electrical balance of plant solutions for 2X300 MW thermal power plants in Warora.

The power project is being set up in two 300 MW phases and under the contract, Areva would manufacture and install a 400/220kV air insulated substation as also power and distribution transformers and switchgear equipment.
