Areva bags Rs225-crore order for Lanco Infra project

Areva T&D India said today that it has won an order worth 33 million euros (Rs225 crore) to supply ultra high voltage transformers to Lanco Infratech Ltd.

Areva will supply 765 kv generator transformers, shunt reactors and 765 kv to 400 kv interconnecting transformers for the switchyard associated with the 1,200 MW Anpara-C thermal power plant in Uttar Pradesh, the company said in a statement.

The transformers and reactors will be manufactured at the company's Vadodara plant, the statement said.
