OCEANTEX 2004 inaugurated

Mumbai: India's largest oil and gas event, OCEANTEX 2004 has kicked off today in Mumbai. The event was inaugurated by the Maharashtra governor Mohammad Fazal. Attracting the participation of over 120 companies from different parts of the world, the programme for the event spreads out over three days with an exhibition and an array of seminars and conferences. The event was inaugurated by Mohammed Fazal, Governor of Maharashtra.
The governor released the first comprehensive strategy report on the Hydrocarbon sector. Jean Cahuzac, COO, Transocean Inc. was the chief overseas guest, and Subir Raha, chairman and managing director, ONGC, and chairman, central advisory board, Oceantex 2004, delivered the key note address.
Among the notables who participated were, K Venkataramanan, Member of the Board and President (Operations) of Larsen and Toubro, Dr. Avinash Chandra, Chief Consultant Oil Industry Development Board & Directorate General of Hydrocarbons and also the Chairman of the OCEANTEX 2004 Conference.
