Crisil pays 300 per cent interim; rewards employees with stock option

Crisil Ltd has declared an interim dividend (for the first time) of Rs3 per share of a nominal value of Re1 each, or 300 per cent, for the year ending 31 December 2012.

This is a Silver Jubilee one-time special dividend, Crisil said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The board of directors of Crisil at its meeting held today, considered and approved the results for the first quarter of 2012, ended on 31 March 2012.

The company has posted a net profit of Rs53.85 crore for the quarter ended 31 March 2012 against Rs44.75 crore during the quarter ended 31 March 2011, unaudited results for the quarter released today showed.

Total income of the company during the quarter increased to Rs191.85 crore during the quarter ended 31 March 2012 from Rs146.98 crore during the quarter ended 31 March 2011.

The company has posted a consolidated net profit of Rs56.98 crore for the quarter ended 31 March 2012 against a profit of Rs45.99 crore for the quarter ended 31 March 2011.
