Forex reserves rise to $119.64 billion

Mumbai: India's foreign exchange reserves rose to $119.64 billion on Oct 15 from $119.30 billion a week earlier, according to the weekly statistical supplement issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Saturday.

The RBI said foreign currency assets expressed in US dollar terms included the effect of appreciation or depreciation of other currencies held in its reserves such as the euro, pound sterling and yen.

The reserves include India's Reserve Tranche Position in the International Monetary Fund, it said.
