Nabard sanctions loans of Rs 462 crore

Mumbai: Nabard has sanctioned loans totalling Rs 462.20 crore under the rural infrastructure development fund (RIDF VIII) towards the creation of rural infrastructure in eight Indian states.

The money will be utilised for projects pertaining to system improvement in the power sector, flood protection and Shishu Shiksha Kendras in West Bengal, primary health centres in Tamil Nadu, soil and moisture conservation in Andhra Pradesh, irrigation projects in Karnataka and Jammu and Kashmir.
