J&K Bank to handle registration of Amarnath Yatris from 16 June

New Delhi: Jammu & Kashmir Bank will be handling the registration of Shri Amarnathji Yatris, again for the year 2003 at its designated branches, throughout India. The registration will commence from 16 June 2003.

Each yatri is required to tender an application duly filled in on the pro forma (prescribed in the notification being issued by the SASB/tourism department J&K government in national papers or it is downloadable from the bank''s website or ). Each yatri needs to submit an individual application.

The registration form-cum-slips shall be issued on a first-come-first-serve basis. The daily timings for registration will be between 3 pm and 6 pm on all working days and 1 pm and 4 pm on all working Saturdays.

J&K Bank was incorporated in the year 1938, by the then government as its promoter, to bolster the economy of the state. Today the bank has emerged as one of the leading commercial banks in India, with its branch network spread across the length and breadth of the country.
