With holidays lined up in a row, banks will remain closed for five consecutive days in most part of the country between 8 and 12 October due to the coinciding of the holidays, including the upcoming Dussehra.

The dates being – 8 October for Second Saturday, 9 October for Sunday, 10 October for Navami, 11 October for Dussehra and 12 October for Muharram.

The bank closure will definitely impact business transactions but at the same time ATM holders too may face problems if the ATM's are not replenished with sufficient cash to last the holiday period.

Besides affecting banking services, including business transactions, the long closure might dry up cash at ATMs as these usually run out of cash within two days of cash infusion.

However, banks say they have ensured that the ATMs will be refilled at regular intervals during the holidays as well.
