UK government to offer empty building space to entrepreneurs

In the UK, entrepreneurs and start-up firms would be offered empty government buildings at low rents for a year under plans that would be announced by Prime Minister David Cameron.
According to the prime minister, space in up to 300 offices, currently idle or being under-used would be offered under the new scheme.
According to recent figures, 550 government premises were not in full use.
In a speech he is to deliver in northeast England, to a group of entrepreneurs, Cameron would vow to "match the capacity we have got with the need out there".
The initiative will earn some income for the Treasury from under-utilised or empty buildings for which the government was still paying rent.
The one-year offer would help fledgling companies and small businesses establish themselves.
