The total
approved cost of the various National Highways Development Project (NHDP) Phases
in the country is Rs203,155 crore. Responding
to a question, minister of state for shipping, road transport and highways K H
Muniyappa said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha that the centre had taken up
the development of national highways by providing funds through the National Highway
Authority
of India. He
disclosed the details of funding approved for various national highways development
project (NHDP) phases are:
