Maharashtra CM Fadnavis submits resignaton ahead of Wednesday's floor test

BJP leader and chief minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis today submitted his resignation to Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari ji ahead of tomorrow’s crucial floor test ordered by the Supreme Court,

However, Fadnavis said, the governor asked him to function as caretaker CM till alternative CM is elected.
After spending crores on hotel stays and parades, these newly-elected MLAs will also take oath in special assembly session tomorrow.
The Congress-Shiv Sena-NCP alliance has announced Uddhav Thackeray to be their CM pick, and will meet the governor to stake claim soon.

Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) workers were seen holding posters stating "Ajit Dada, we love you" in Mumbai. Ajit Pawar also resigned as deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, earlier in the day, citing personal reasons.
"Ajit dada has resigned and he is with us. Uddhav Thackeray will be the chief minister of Maharashtra for five years," Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said. 
The Tuesday morning meeting between Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar in Trident hotel in Mumbai, which, according to reports, proved to be the last nail for the Devendra Fadnavis-led 4 day old BJP government. All top NCP leaders are believed to have persuaded Ajit that if he comes back to the NCP fold, his prestige will be restored.
