The new television advertisement for Tata Sky Plus was aired yesterday, after viewers were treated to brand ambassador Aamir Khan washing dishes in the kitchen in one ad and in another drying clothes, both ending with him asking "Why are you staring? I am only helping my wife."

The complete ad will now be aired from 25 October to launch Tata Sky Plus with its facilities of Record Live TV and Pause and Rewind Live TV

The advertisement goes like this: Aamir is out to help his wife in more ways than one to appease her so that he can watch the live telecast of a cricket match. After washing dishes, drying clothes, he is all set to even make a cup of tea for her after coming home from work.

But his wife reminds him that with the new Tata Sky Plus its possible for him to watch the match and simulatenously record her favourite soap. He is thrilled and jumps on the sofa to watch television and promptly tells his wife to make tea.

At the launch, Tata Sky Ltd., the JV between the Tata Group and Star, revealed that viewers can literally pause time until one they are ready to move on, with the new Tata Sky+ service that uses the breakthrough personal video recorder (PVR) technology for the first time in the Indian subcontinent.

The new DTH platform combines style with a range of unique in-built functionalities that offer a viewer the power to plan and control his TV viewing experience with features such as Record Live TV and Pause and Rewind Live TV. (See: Tata Sky introduces new high-tech DTH service)
