Telecom solutions provider Tech Mahindra Ltd has signed a multi-million dollar deal with state-owned Botswana Telecommunications Corp (BTC) to provide system integration services across its mobile, internet and fixed-line businesses for a three-year period.

Under this agreement, Tech Mahindra will implement the entire OSS/BSS stack for African company's BeMobile (BTC's greenfield mobile operations) in phase I. The phase II and III will consist of converged solution for mobile, internet and fixed-telephony.

"Tech Mahindra is constantly helping telecommunications operators look for new and innovative ways to leverage existing infrastructure, as well as introduce new services by providing end to end IT solution," said CP Gurnani, president international operations, Tech Mahindra.

The deal is expected to bring revenues of around $2 million in the first year and  up to $10 million over the next 3-5 years, reports said.

Tech Mahindra had, earlier this year, signed a five-year agreement with British Telecom worth $350 million (around Rs1,400 crore).

Tech Mahindra, majority-owned by Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, has UK's BT Group Plc as partner and currently gets about 74 per cent of its revenues from Europe.

BTC is wholly-owned by the Botswana government and operates the country's national and international telecommunications services.
