Reliance Retail launches Mumbai's first 'RelianceMart' news

Mumbai: Reliance Industries' retail subsidiary, Reliance Retail, today launched its first hypermarket RelianceMart, at  Thane, on the outskirts of Mumbai. The retailer has RelianceMarts in Tirupati, Pune, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Bangalore, Ranchi, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Ahmedabad and Jamnagar.

Spread across 50,000 sq. ft.over three floors, RelianceMart will offer shoppers "an exclusive assortment of high quality products at low prices". The store carries a range of over 20,000 products ranging from fashion clothing, consumer electronics, home ideas, leisure, beauty and style, fresh fruits and vegetables, dairy, grocery, telecom, gift items, entertainment, health and wellness products with huge range and depth with great value deals.

In addition to other products and services RelianceMart also offers auto accessories, a fresh idli batter counter, free home delivery, telecom services like mobile phone recharge, ResQ- the one-stop after sales service for consumer durables and electronics, consumer finance options on the electronics purchased, alteration services for the apparels purchased, gift wrapping, wheelchairs for the physically challenged or elderly, pop corn and sweet corn counters and a sweet shop and free parking.

The store has 11 check-out counters and two express check-out counters aimed at reducing the customer waiting time.

Multi-format retailer, Reliance Retail opened its first retail store in November 2006 and currently operates over 900 stores in 77 cities. It operates neighboruhood stores Reliance Fresh, consumer durables and information technology stores under the Reliance Digital brand, hyper markets under the brand RelianceMart, apparel specialty Reliance Trends store, health, wellness and beauty Reliance Wellness outlets, iStore by Reliance Digital, an Apple specialty store concept, footwear outlets unnder Reliance Footprint, jewellery stores branded as Reliance Jewels, books, music and entertainment stores under the Reliance Time-Out brand, Reliance Super mini marts, Reliance Living Homeware household utilities specialty stores, Reliance AutoZone, an automotive specialty outlets and Vision Express, an optical specialty store concept.
