Bangalore: Reliance Retail has unveiled its 'Reliance Digital' retail format at Bangalore. This is the third store in the Reliance Digital format to be launched in the country, the first two having been launched at Delhi and Mumbai.

According to company sources, the store is built around Reliance Retail's core philosophy of customer centricity, and is designed to serve as a one-stop-shop for technology solutions in the field of consumer electronics, home appliances, information technology and telecommunications.

With an area admeasuring over 23,000 sq ft, Reliance Digital at Bangalore is set to offer over 4,000 products across more than 150 brands. It will also market "recommended solution bundles" that meet the needs of diverse customers, according to Ajai Baijal, president and chief executive of Reliance Industries (CDIT) business. Reliance Digital has also introduced "RelianceresQ", (pronounced Reliance Rescue) as an end-to-end solution for all technology products, which relies on a network of in-house service centres that provide consumers with pre and post sales support.

Reliance Digital, according to company sources, will be open for business on all days of the week, starting at 10.30 am and downing its shutters at 9.30 pm. The store also plans to run the RelianceOne common membership and loyalty program that spans all Reliance Retail formats.

According to Baijal, Reliance Digital plans to follow the large store format, with stores that measure between 15,000 to 35,000 sq ft. Roughly, these would involve an investment of around Rs5 crore, and will come up in 70 cities across India.
