Nissan launches pre-owned car business ‘Intelligent Choice’ in India

Japanese car maker Nissan on Thursday launched its pre-owned car business Nissan Intelligent Choice in India. According to the company, this business is designed for customers looking for quality tested and certified pre-owned cars with optimum value.
This will also offer a platform for customers owning other brand cars to exchange them for new Nissan and Datsun cars.
Satinder Singh Bajwa, director of sales, network, customer quality and pre-owned car, Nissan Motor India, said at the launch function in Mumbai, ''The pre-owned car market in India is growing at an exponential rate. We see a huge potential in this emerging business.
Nissan Intelligent Choice is our global business model for pre-owned cars and after its success in Brazil and South Africa, we are excited to introduce it in India.''
The Nissan Intelligent Choice programme will operate in 10 major cities – Noida, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Guwahati.
However, customers can avail themselves of after-sales service at any of the 160 Nissan authorised workshops across India, along with 24x7 roadside assistance.
Under the Nissan Intelligent Choice programme, every pre-owned car will go through a 167-point quality check and unique vehicle inspection. All pre-owned cars will be tested and certified by technical experts of Nissan.
The programme also provides and customised finance and insurance schemes. Nissan Finance and HDFC offer unique finance options with lowest ROI (rate of interest) and maximum LTV (loan to value) of up to 95 per cent, the company said.
Nissan India had in last month launched NissanConnect, an integrated information and communication platform that connects with the customer's smartphone to provide enhanced driving experience.
NissanConnect, developed specifically for the Indian market, also enables the customer to be connected to his/her family through the car.
NissanConnect has been developed by Renault Nissan Technology Business Centre India and it is a factory-fitted connected car technology solution with an embedded telematics control unit paired with an inbuilt SIM for every car and a dedicated server.
