Facebook will roll out its latest feature that will bring online food ordering into the social network app and website, TechCrunch reported. The select users to whom the app will be rolled out to, will be able to order their favourite takeout from the restaurant up the street without leaving the confines of the social network.

Users can find the hamburger-styled light blue "Order Food" icon in the Facebook app's menu area, or a rather more realistic-looking hamburger in their sidebar on the Facebook website.

According to TechCrunch, the system will be powered by Delivery.com and Slice, an enhancement of an earlier feature that allowed users to order directly from a restaurant's Facebook page.

When users tap through the new food ordering icon on Facebook, they will see a list of restaurants in their area that use the service.

When users tap on the restaurant's image, they will be taken to its Facebook page, or they can just hit Start Order to get directly to the menu. There is a spot for the user to enter their address to ensure the place can deliver or tell it that they will pick up their order.
