Vizeum bags Essar corporate account

Vizeum India, part of the Aegis Media Group, has bagged the media duties for Essar corporate, the size of which is estimted at over Rs50 crore, replaing incumbent media agency Maxus.

The Essar Group has varied businesses such as energy, steel, power, shipping and logistics and construction. Vizeum's mandate will be to manage the company's media investments in a manner that will facilitate a relationship between Essar and its various stakeholders
and consumers.

In the last five weeks, Vizeum India has won accounts such as BSA Motors, Giovani and the Luxor/Parker Group. Vizeum was launched in India in June and belongs to Aegis Media. It operates in 48 countries and in almost all of these markets, it co-exists with Carat, the other
media brand owned by Aegis Media.

Regarding choosing Vizeum, in a statement, Sandip Sen, head - Essar Corporate brand, said, ''We chose Vizeum after a robust media pitch which saw participation from many players. Vizeum's strategic thinking and communication perspective, in addition to buying, planning and their commitment to our business was the deciding factor. We are looking forward to working with Vizeum and cementing this bond further.''

Commenting on the win Ashish Bhasin, chairman India and CEO South East Asia, Aegis Media, said ''This win is another feather in Vizeum's cap. I welcome Essar into the Aegis family and it is gratifying to see how Yesu (S Yesudas) has created a credible media agency from scratch within a very short span.
