Chennai-based Muruguppa Group unveils new brand identity

Murugappa Group, Chennai-based business conglomerate, unveiled its new brand identity on Wednesday. Its new logo showcases a Murugappa peacock in a vibrant shade of red.

A Vellayan, executive chairman, Murugappa Group, said that the contemporary rendition of the Murugappa peacock is a sign of the Group's global outlook and dynamic targets set for it while the red shade embodies vigour, power, passion, drive, energy and is renowned for its excellent visibility.

''The clean lines and the unique lower case style in which 'Murugappa' is written help connect with audiences through simplicity and elegance,'' he added.
Lopez Designs was the design consultancy for the new logo.

The Group will also be launching a brand campaign, created by ad agency JWT, under the theme, 'Energy Unbound.'

The campaign will consist of TVC and print advertisements to further brand awareness about the group and its association with constituent businesses.
Murugappa Group of companies include Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Ltd, EID Parry (India) Ltd and Parry Agro Industries Ltd amongst others.
