Following a multi-agency pitch, ZenithOptimedia India has won the media duties for Honda Siel Cars India, the joint venture between Japan's Honda Motors and Siel India.

The agency will now handle the media duties for Honda Siel's entire portfolio including Honda City, Accord, Jazz, Civic, CR-V, and the compact car - Brio that is slated to be launched in September 2011.

Anita Sharma, assistant vice president, marketing communications, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd, said ZenithOptimedia was chosen because of its in-depth knowledge of the automobile industry.

''Their scientific and process-led planning with the help of tools such as Touchpoint and portfolio analysis were the main factors for Honda choosing them as their media partners,'' Sharma added.

Earlier the media duties for Honda Siel were divided between Dentsu Media and GroupM's media arm Motivator.

Satyajit Sen, CEO, ZenithOptimedia India, said, ''We are committed to providing the best ROI to Honda creating solutions that stand out on media -effectiveness, media efficiency and media leadership.''

Honda's creative business is divided among three agencies - Grey, Ogilvy India's Meridian and Dentsu.
