Bentley is set to launch its first production SUV, Bentayga, in India on 22 April.
According to the UK handcrafted luxury carmaker, which first unveiled the Bentayga SUV at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Bentley Bentayga was not only the most expensive SUV in the world, but also the fastest.
Designed, engineered and handcrafted in Crewe, the Bentayga is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.0-litre W12 engine that delivered 600bhp along with a maximum torque of 900Nm.
The SUV, which had permanent All-Wheel Drive, came paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Bentley Bentayga could hit 100Km/h from rest in only 4.1 seconds on its way to a top-speed of 301Km/h - which effectively made it both, the world's most powerful and fastest SUV.
The Bentley Bentayga would primarily compete with the Land Rover Range Rover in India.
The design has been inspired by the 2012 EXP-9F concept, with the front reminiscent of Bentley's portfolio models with four, circular LED headlamps paired with a large matrix grille.
According to Bentley, the Bentayga comes with the world's finest automotive cabin with the interior of the Bentayga was swathed in luxurious materials.
The Bentagya also featured improved front passenger space and needless to say it would include a plethora of comfort settings and optional features. Furthermore, the combination of analog and digital display along with touch screen on the central panel looked neat.
Meanwhile in Southeast Asia Bently had just launched the Bentley Continental GT Speed – Black Speed Limited Edition by Mulliner exclusively for the region.
Limited to only 10 units, the Continental Black Speed Edition was based on the 6.0-litre W12 Continental GT Speed but had received enhancements by the craftspeople of Bentley's bespoke division Mulliner to create a thoroughly unique vehicle.
Bentley launched the Continental GT Speed Black Speed Limited Edition for the first time only last week at Singapore. It carries a price tag of SGD 920,000 before COE.
