2008 British International Motor Show: Mastretta MXT on display at the Motor Show

One of the attractions at the 2008 British International Motor Show is the Mastretta MXT, the first ever car completely designed and built in Mexico. The mid-size two seater is powered by a 2.0 litre Cosworth engine, which is capable of a delivering a top speed of 150mph and from 0 to 60 in less than five seconds.
Constructed from aluminium, the chassis features aircraft style technologies and closed mould techniques sculpt the body from high quality fibreglass. Low weight,
structural integrity, safety and design flexibility are the main design parameters for the MXT chassis development.
The entry level car has been priced at £32,999 and order books are open at Stand N10, at the motor show arena at ExCel.
''Customers who place orders at the show will be able to register their cars in May of next year,'' states, company chief, Tom Martin.
''The Mastretta MXT on display at ExCeL until 3 August is the penultimate prototype and we should complete VCA testing by October and RHD production, which is limited to 80 cars in the first full year, will start by January,'' added Martin
