MUMBAI, June 25, 2026 — Suzlon Energy Limited has secured a 400 MW wind energy order from Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), strengthening the long-standing relationship between the two companies and taking their cumulative partnership beyond the 1 GW milestone.
The project will be developed in Andhra Pradesh and will be executed through Suzlon’s engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) model. As part of the agreement, Suzlon will supply and install 127 units of its S144 wind turbine generators, each rated at 3.15 MW.
The S144 turbine is part of Suzlon’s 3 MW series and is designed to support efficient energy generation across a range of wind conditions. The company will also provide operations and maintenance services for the project after commissioning.
Under the EPC arrangement, Suzlon will be responsible for the complete project lifecycle, including equipment supply, installation, balance-of-plant infrastructure, project execution and grid connectivity.
Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, said integrated EPC solutions are becoming increasingly important as renewable energy developers seek streamlined project execution and operational efficiency.
The latest order marks the fourth project awarded by TPREL to Suzlon and expands the companies’ combined renewable energy portfolio to more than 1 GW across multiple states, including Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, said the milestone reflects the growing collaboration between the two companies in supporting India’s renewable energy transition.
The project also strengthens Suzlon’s presence in Andhra Pradesh, one of India’s key wind energy markets. The company already has a significant installed base in the state and continues to expand its renewable energy footprint across southern India.
India has been accelerating renewable energy deployment as part of its broader clean energy goals, creating opportunities for wind and solar developers as utilities and independent power producers add new capacity.
