Pakistan’s nuclear stockpile larger than India’s: report

Washington: In a report, issued by the prestigious 'Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists' two American experts estimate that Pakistan has more nuclear warheads than India. They also say that both these Asiatic countries, along with China, are increasing their arsenals and deploying weapons at additional sites.

According to experts, Robert S Norris and Hans M Kristensen, while Pakistan is estimated to possess 70-90 nuclear weapons, India is believed to have 60-80.

These claims are made in their latest article 'Nuclear Notebook: Worldwide deployments of nuclear weapons, 2009,' published in the latest issue of 'Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.'

The article claims that Beijing, Islamabad and New Delhi are quantitatively and qualitatively increasing their arsenals and deploying weapons at additional sites which are difficult to pinpoint.
