Chandigarh: The north Indian state of Haryana, which adjoins the National Capital Region (NCR), has said it will ramp up aviation infrastructure by setting up two integrated helicopter hubs and three general aviation hubs through the public-private partnership route.
According to state government officials, two integrated helicopter hubs are planned at Pinjore and Narnaul, which will provide aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and fixed base operations, specifically catering to helicopters.
The proposed general aviation hubs at Hissar, Bhiwani and Karnal, will provide aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and fixed base operations facilities specifically catering to light and medium fixed wing aircraft and helicopters.
The state government has invited interested parties, including international ones, to set up the proposed facilities through a bidding process.
State authorities said the concession period would be for 25 years.
