With Berlin Tempelhof due to suspend operations permanently from Thursday 30 October 2008,  ExecuJet Europe inaugurated its redesigned and enlarged Fixed Base of Operation (FBO) at Berlin-Airport last week.

The FBO will now cater to business aviation traffic that transits to Schönefeld following the closure of Tempelhof.

Schönefeld is located 13 miles south of central Berlin.

ExecuJet's two-floor, 4,300-sq-ft facility features passenger lounges on the first floor, with operational facilities, a crew lounge and a conference room on the second floor.

ExecuJet's new premises are part of Schönfeld's General Aviation Terminal.

Schonfeld is being redeveloped as the Berlin-Brandenburg International Airport (BBIA), which will become the city's sole airport in 2011 when Tegel airport also shuts down.
