SpiceJet launches 3-day sale of tickets at Rs511

India's second-largest low-cost airline SpiceJet announced a three-day sale on Tuesday to mark its eleventh anniversary. The sale offers domestic air tickets at a base fares starting Rs511. Fares on foreign routes (excluding taxes) start at Rs2,111. The booking period is between 17 May and 19 May.

The three-day sale that began on Tuesday will be open till midnight, 19 May 2016 for domestic travel period 15 June 2016 to 30 September 2016 and international travel period 1 June 2016 to 20th July 2016. The sale is valid only for direct flights within SpiceJet's network.

SpiceJet said a limited number of discounted tickets are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

On Monday, AirAsia announced a 50 per cent discount in fare on return flights till 18 May, for travel from 1 August 1 to 30 November, to mark the airline flying 2.5 million passengers since launching its operations in June 2014.

''Seats have to be booked by 18 May on our website (airasia.com) and our mobile app or mobile site (m.airasia.com),'' the company said in a statement .

The offer is available on the seven of the airline's destinations across the country and seven overseas destinations in Southeast Asia and Australia and New Zealand.
