American Airlines agrees to filter pornography on in-flight Internet service
08 Oct 2008
American Airlines, the world's largest carrier, said it planned to block pornography on its Internet service during flights, in a move that acknowledges concerns expressed by employees and customers.
AMR Corp, the carrier's parent, said the carrier would work with Aircell on a filtering technology.
Flight attendants had said last month they were urging American to take action.
American offers Internet access on some Boeing 767 flights between New York's John F Kennedy International Airport and Los Angeles or San Francisco and between New York and Miami.
