Austrian Cargo named Best European Airline 2008

Austrian Cargo has said that is has been named as "Best European Airline 2008" at the Air Cargo Awards, organised by specialist and business magazine LOGISTIK-inside and the Garbe World Cargo Center.
 
The award is declared every two years after a survey amongst German IATA air cargo forwarding companies to decide the winner. The survey looks at the level of performance of all the participating airlines.

The award is conferred in a range of different categories, such as 'Customer Orientation', 'Quality of Service' and 'Price-Performance Ratio.'

Speaking about the award, Franz Zöchbauer, executive vice-president, Austrian Cargo, said: "Winning such an award in what is the largest air cargo market in Europe is not merely a reason to be happy, but also clearly confirms the consistent implementation of our quality and service policy. As one of the founding members of Cargo 2000, we are continually measuring our level of service, and are always amongst the leading international players. As a service provider, moreover, such assessments by our customers show us even more strongly that we are on the right path.
