Consultancy group to set up aeropark in Navi Mumbai: report

Close on the heels of the Navi Mumbai airport project getting environment clearance from the centre, aviation consultancy and advisory services firm Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation has announced plans to invest around Rs600 crore ($120 million) for setting up an aeropark near the greenfield airport.

A PTI report quoting CAPA top sources said the aeropark,  to be spread over 35-40 acres, is expected to be ready by the middle of 2011.

The aeropark will provide training courses in air safety, pilot training, aviation technology and general aviation besides imparting training in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul, the report said.

The consultancy group plans to offer airline management courses like MBA in aviation in association with some specialised institute in due course, according to the report.

The project is currently is at the preliminary stage, the report added.
