Air Canada firms up orders for 37 Boeing 787 Dreamliners
25 Apr 2007
The new aircraft, which are scheduled for delivery beginning 2010, will replace the carrier's Airbus A340s and A330s and Boeing 767s.
The 787 burns about 27% less fuel than many other aircraft, thanks to its partial use of composite materials instead of metal.
The airline, which is in the process of renewing its fleet, also said that it has reduced its original Boeing 777 firm orders by two.
