Spicejet places firm orders for 10 new Boeing 737-800/900 ER's

Mumbai: Low cost airline services provider, Spicejet, said Tuesday that it has decided to acquire 10 new Boeing 737-800/900 ER aircraft by converting its options into firm orders. For Boeing, the order will be worth $700 million at list prices. Deliveries of the aircraft will be made from 2009 through 2011.

The company said that with the order it has now completed its acquisition plan for thirty aircraft. The acquisition plan, it said, would go a long way towards augmenting the company's network in the country.
