Greensboro, USA: Honda Aircraft Co Inc said Thursday it has reached agreements with three North American aviation companies who will be "major component suppliers" for its HondaJet light jets to be produced in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Honda Aircraft named its production partners as US companies GKN Aerospace and Garmin International Inc as well as Canadian company Avcorp Industries Inc. While GKN will provide the fuselage structural subassembly, Garmin will supply the avionics systems. Avcorp will supply the wing structural subassembly. GKN and Avcorp are major suppliers of civil and defense aerospace systems and components.

"We are pleased to be entering into collaboration with some of North America's top aviation industry suppliers as we continue to focus on developing an innovative aircraft of the absolute highest quality for our customers," said Michimasa Fujino, president and CEO of Honda Aircraft.

Honda Aircraft had said on Feb. 9 that it would establish manufacturing operations at Piedmont Triad International Airport in the US State of North Carolina.

Honda expects the jets to be ready for their first deliveries in 2010. It has also said that it has taken orders for more than 100 HondaJets so far.
