Birender Ahluwalia is GoAir's new CCO

Mumbai: GoAir, an Indian low cost carrier has announced the appointment of Birender Ahluwalia as its new chief commercial officer (CCO). The airline has said that as the new CCO, Ahluwalia would look after all aspects of network planning, pricing, revenue management, aircraft scheduling, distribution, pricing in addition to sales and marketing functions.
According to a statement issued by the airline, Ahluwalia brings with him sixteen years of leadership experience in service management, marketing, sales and supply chain management. He was also chief field services officer and a member of the executive committee with Tata Sky Ltd before joining GoAir.
In his career Ahluwalia has worked with companies such as Federal Express Corporation, HDFC Bank Ltd and Blue Dart Express, among others. Ahluwalia has also been part of several innovative projects, including the development and execution of a long-term business plan for FedEx in 64 countries in the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent and Africa.
GoAir has recently completed one year of its operations, flying over 1.5 million passengers in the period for a market share of over 4.8%. GoAir's entire fleet is CAT III compliant.
