Singapore's Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has signed a memorandum of understanding for research collaboration with the India Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK). A delegation from NTU's School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering will visit the IITK later this year.

As part of the agreement, the two institutions will host student and staff exchange visits, engage in joint research and look at issuing joint degrees.

Last year, July, a team of IITK professors met their NTU counterparts in Singapore for exchanges in diverse fields, such as computational mechanics, micro-fluidics and supply- chain management.

The IITK, which is located in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, is one of seven Indian Institutes of Technology in the country that have established a world-class reputation for research and academics.
