Sakal ropes in Gaurish Pathare as head, advertising sales

Sakal Media group has roped in Gaurish Pathare as advertising head for its print business. He will report to LS Krishnan, business head, print, Sakal Media and will handle the national and local markets for the group.

Prior to Sakal, Pathare was with Mid-Day Infomedia, where he was national head, sales, print and digital.

Pathare has over 16 years of experience and has worked in various capacities in the media business. He has worked for eight years with Mindshare Fulcrum, handling the Hindustan Unilever brands. Later, he worked with GroupM, where he handled clients like Onida, ICICI, Vodafone and HSBC.

Pathare has also been associated with Reliance ADAG's media team and has worked with BCCL's Magazine division on brands such as Femina and Filmfare.

Sakal Media Group's print titles include Sakal newspaper, Saptahik Sakal in Marathi, Agrown (agro daily), Tanishka (woman's magazine in Marathi), and Premier (film magazine in Marathi).
